She plans to run away with him to America, but Harb finds out about their affair and kills Nathan in front of Maha. He also tries to kill Maha, but she fights back and stabs him with a knife. She is arrested and taken to the mental hospital, where she is diagnosed with schizophrenia. Um Saad discovers that her husband has been arrested for his involvement in the bombing and that he has confessed to being a spy for the British.
