Star Wolves is a 3D space RPG with deep strategy and tactical elements. The game places players in a world of freelance space hunters in the 21st-22nd centuries AD, during a time of political crisis for the all-powerful Empire and the three mega-corporations that control all known worlds. Corruption thrives on the planet side and only space can give a human his freedom, but not for nothing: space is no longer a safe place. Human space pirates, renegade AI computers rebelling against humanity, and Imperial patrol ships roam space in search of easy prey. Players begin the game as a bounty hunter with little more than an old, run-down starfighter and a dream, but as they progress through the game and succeed, their piloting and combat skills will improve and unlock access to more advanced spacecraft. Players can control a party of up to six bounty hunters, each with different skills, abilities, and personalities. Team tactics give players tremendous opportunities in battles when the shear power of fire isn't enough. Using tactical tricks, planning and executing ambushes, or using spaceship special abilities, cunning commanders have the ability to destroy enemies according to their playstyle.

Found this premade adventure and it gave me the guts to DM for the first time. Used Welton as my starter town for a party of 2 lvl 3s. A College of Sword Bard and a Grave Domain Cleric.The initial hook was them starting outside the town after taking a contract from a job board. They came upon the two shepherds outside town being attacked by wolves and one of the two ended up villagers were killed. This set the tone for the rest of the module.One thing lead to another, and they eventually killed the bulk of the wolves in their cave by starting a fire at its mouth, fanning it, and suffocating most save for Bolt and Flame plus a few unnamed wolves. It was a massacre, but they approached it creatively so I allowed it.They never figured out what happened to Alexi. The defacto mayor character asked that in their travels they keep an eye out for a replacement magic worker.Also going to have to return to pick up the tanned pelt of Bolt, some magical properties to be determined.It was a wonderful time, well thought out adventure.
